OUR MISSON:

To strengthen the lives of our American heroes through therapeutic recreational opportunities rooted in Strength, Education, Acceptance, Resilience, Community, and Health—creating pathways for healing, connection, and self-care.

Supporting the mental and physical well-being of our Veterans is not just a responsibility—it’s a commitment we share as a nation and as a community. Those who have served face unique challenges, and too often, traditional clinical approaches to care can feel impersonal or carry stigmas that prevent individuals from seeking the help they deserve.

That’s why it’s critical we meet our heroes where they are.

Research continues to show that group-based outdoor recreation programs provide powerful, positive outcomes for Veterans. These experiences offer more than just time outside—they create opportunities for connection, purpose, and renewal. In nature, surrounded by peers who understand their journey, Veterans often find a sense of peace and belonging that traditional settings may not provide.

Outdoor therapeutic experiences tap into something deeply familiar—the challenge, camaraderie, and sense of accomplishment that mirror the bonds formed during military service. These moments foster trust, rebuild confidence, and open the door to healing in a way that feels natural, not forced.

As a community, we have the opportunity—and the responsibility—to support these innovative, compassionate approaches. By investing in programs that prioritize connection, shared experience, and holistic wellness, we can help ensure no Veteran feels alone in their journey.

Together, we can build stronger communities, restore hope, and honor our heroes not just with words—but with meaningful action.

You are family here.

We bring together Veterans from all branches to create a community rooted in trust, connection, and support. Through shared experiences in the outdoors, Veterans find healing, renewed purpose, and the strength that comes from standing side by side. Together, we build bonds that last—and ensure no one walks their journey alone.

A shared experience can energize a team toward its common goal more quickly than a direct order ever will. (Don Yaeger)
